Jun 1, 2018 | News, Research Conference, Student Feature

The Canada Gas and LNG Exhibition and Conference in 2018 saw first year of close collaboration with the University of British Columbia’s Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC). Curated by Paul Blomerus, the Industry Partnership Advisor and Natural Gas Sector Head at CERC, Natural Gas Research and Innovation Program allowed for an injection of cutting-edge technical content, discussion and insight on the show floor which was accessible for all event attendees. The range of companies exhibiting at the event, from ABB through to Steelhead LNG, coupled with the buzz created by the UBC Knowledge Theatre ensured a busy, vibrant show floor – especially for the LNG Canada and Bear Head LNG drinks receptions.

This program brought together innovators from academia and industry who are developing solutions for the production, distribution and utilization of natural gas. The Research and Innovation Program took place on May 15, 2018 included leading researchers, technology companies, customers and other stakeholders from Canada and around the world. The event was hosted by the University of British Columbia’s Clean Energy Research Centre and created an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest technology developments, share best practices and network with industry experts.
